Somali Frankincense is of the highest quality and best aroma to be found anywhere in the world. The Boswellia trees from which Frankincense is harvested are owned by many different families in Somalia.

Collectors farm the gum and sell to merchants. Collectors may enjoy up to 100% of the revenues of the gum, but mostly sharing a portion of the revenue with the Gum Tree owners.

Merchants grade and clean the gums ready for export.

Trade of Frankincense dates back to the ancient Mediterranean civilisations of Egypt, Greece and Rome, and today Frankincense is chewed, burnt and distilled by millions of people each day.
